Investment & ALMPRIMARY MISSIONThe mission of the Financial Controller is to assist his/her direct manager in the control, the analysis and the delivery of the IFRS financial figures within the IMa scope:Analyze and comment the financial performance of the entities on a regular basis (quarterly and/or monthly on ad-hoc basis); analyze the main Financial KPIs used to follow the profitability of the entities (Earning, Combined ratios, P&L analysis …),Perform an analytical review of the figures reported in the consolidation tool (“Magnitude”) ensuring the consistency of data reported for IFRS figures (accounting and reporting figures), Participate in the preparation of regular reports covering financial and business performance KPIs, perform analytical review of the key KPIs as well as maintain and enhance working files and tools / propose improvements for the analysis.Contribute within IMa organization (entities and other regional teams) to some recurring reporting / controlling processes as well as the implementation of new requests (from Group or IMa management),Provide assistance to the Senior manager on requests linked to business monitoring,Define Regional timetable and instructions, and ensure their correct application by entities,Review new accounting treatments and validate with AXA Group expertise teams, provide support for local entities on AXA IFRS standards,Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve controls, quality and efficiency.CANDIDATE PROFILECandidate for an Financial Controller position is expected to demonstrate a sense of business acumen. He / She should have financial background but also have the capacity to understand the business performance of the entities and contribute to the improvement of the performance of the entities.Background and experience:Master Degree, University in Finance/Audit & Accounting/ Actuarial;2-4 years’ work experience as controller or auditor ;Good knowledge in IFRS/ Insurance principles ;Fluent in English.Technical and professional skills:Good understanding of the insurance industry, preferable on Life, Health and P&C,Good understanding of finance and reporting principles, notably accounting and consolidation principles / standards and actuarial practices,Good knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint, knowledge of Magnitude (SAP Financial consolidation tool) will be an advantage.Soft skills and competencies:Organized, structured & proactive, ability to work with autonomy,Good inter-cultural skills, ability to work in international environment,Good networking, ability to quickly build an effective and trust-based relationship with all entities & Group correspondents.Curious, proactive, reactive with a good business sense,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,Ability to work under tight deadline,Open to change and be flexible,Good team player.At AXA we actively promote Diversity and Inclusion by offering equal opportunities.
