Your mission
We are looking for a professional to develop the preparation and execution of R&D&I projects, technological services (analysis and testing, technical advice) and technical training for companies in the Sustainable and Future Mobility section, in the Technologies area. Our main R&D lines are based on technologies for lightening the weight of vehicles, smart composites, materials for LIB housings, hydrogen tanks and electromagnetic shielding at 5G frequencies, among others. The department works in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, naval, railway, space and defence.
What you will do:
* Provide services and advice to external and internal customers.
* Coordinate and collaborate with different AIMPLAS departments.
* Draw up state of the art reports.
* Prepare bids and work proposals.
* Prepare project proposals according to institutional templates.
* Participate in the preparation of budgets.
* Carry out technical developments.
* Pilot plant tests (compounding, extrusion, injection, formulation of composite materials).
* Ensure the proper functioning of the equipment managed, including carrying out or supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, internal calibrations, etc.
* Search for and select new equipment and/or accessories according to needs and possibilities.
* Analyse results and draw up conclusions and reports.
* Present results.
* Participate in scientific dissemination, technology foresight, dissemination and communication activities.
Your profile
You have high analytical skills, organization, strong communication and influencing skills, initiative, creativity, flexibility, customer orientation, leadership skills, self-motivation, and the ability to independently lead. You are a team player, people-oriented (cooperation and empathy).
Education required:
Higher university education, master's degree, preferably PhD in Materials Engineering, Aeronautics, Chemistry or similar.
Additional education:
* Valuable specific Master's degree in plastic materials or aeronautics.
* Demonstrable high level of English.
Experience required:
* Knowledge in thermoplastic and thermoset composites and their transformation processes (ATL, AFP, SMC...).
* Experience in stress simulation will be an asset, as well as having worked with sectors related to the area. We are looking for a versatile profile with great capacity for business development and experience in the execution of R&D projects.
* Experience in sectors related to mobility and transport will be an asset.
* Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
* B1 driving licence.
