The High Performance Domain-specific Architectures group (expert on computer hardware) and the High Performance Artificial Intelligence research group (expert in AI) are pushing a collaboration between both, focused on the integration of AI models for facilitating and improving chip design and validation processes.
This position is intended to work at the intersection of both fields, performing engineering and research oriented tasks through programming, documentation and management.
The funding for these actions / fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation, within the framework of the General Invitation by the public business entity, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
Key Duties
* Contribute to the definition of task-specific applications of AI models for chip related purposes
* Lead the data gathering and pre-processing pipelines
* Conduct the design and training of AI models
* Implement reliable, reproducible and automated training and evaluation methodologies
* Document and disseminate the work done
Requirements
Education
Degree in STEM
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
* Experience in a research oriented position (1 year minimum)
* Experience in writing scientific papers (1 paper minimum)
* Experience in tensor networks (6 months minimum)
* Experience in optimization problems (6 months minimum)
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
* Fluent English and Spanish are a must. Catalan is desirable.
* Mathematical background is desirable.
