As part of a phase of continued consolidation and growth, DPAM is looking to strengthen its Iberian sales team with the hiring of a Senior Sales professional covering Spain and Portugal. This role represents a strategic opportunity to join a respected international platform at a moment of increasing visibility, market recognition, and commercial momentum.
The position will replace a senior team member and is designed for an experienced sales professional capable of combining deep local market knowledge, strong commercial drive, and institutional discipline.
Your position
Client Coverage & Business Development
* Develop and deepen long-term relationships with key institutional and wholesale clients across Spain and Portugal, including private banks, retail banks, advisory platforms, and discretionary portfolio managers.
* Actively contribute to asset gathering and market expansion, focusing on sustainable, repeatable growth.
* Position DPAM as a long-term investment partner, delivering high-quality dialogue rather than short-term product-driven sales.
Banking & Advisory Network Expertise
* Leverage an in-depth understanding of the main Iberian banking groups and their private banking and advisory networks.
* Navigate complex distribution structures and fund selection processes with seniority and credibility.
* Maintain strong and trusted relationships with private bankers, advisors, and selectors across the region.
Product & Investment Communication
* Represent DPAM's investment capabilities across asset classes, with the ability to translate investment strategies into clear and compelling client value propositions.
* Conduct high-level meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with professional investors.
* Coordinate closely with investment teams, product specialists, and marketing to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
Reporting, CRM & Regulatory Discipline
* Maintain rigorous and transparent CRM reporting, including client interactions, pipelines, and commercial forecasts.
* Ensure full alignment with internal compliance standards and regulatory requirements, particularly KYC/AML processes.
* Treat reporting and data quality as a core element of professional sales excellence.
Internal Collaboration & Market Intelligence
* Work closely with local and international colleagues within sales, marketing, compliance, and product teams.
* Provide structured feedback on market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics.
Your profile
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior sales or relationship management role within an international asset management firm.
* Proven and credible track record in the Spanish and/or Portuguese market.
* Strong, hands-on knowledge of Iberian banking and private banking distribution models.
* Established network among private bankers, advisors, and fund selectors.
* Solid experience working with CRM systems, commercial reporting, and regulatory frameworks.
* Strong commercial mindset, with a competitive edge and a long-term relationship approach.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Portuguese and French is a strong advantage.
* High level of ownership and accountability.
* Ability to balance entrepreneurial initiative with institutional rigor.
