 
        
        About the Role 
Johnson & Johnson, a general leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison for our Cell Therapy-CAR T unit in Barcelona. 
The role focuses on building relationships with leading specialists, communicating scientific data, and supporting local Medical Affairs and market-access initiatives. 
Key Responsibilities 
Keep abreast of medical and scientific knowledge, including continuous updates on products, patient treatment trends, and clinical activities within the therapeutic area in the region. 
Develop and maintain a contact network with leading specialists; understand their needs, value drivers, and scientific activities. 
Communicate the value of company products and the medical benefits of products through scientific interactions, ensuring content is highly scientific, accurate, fair and objective. 
Represent the company within professional associations in cooperation with Medical Affairs/Medical Education and other Medical Affairs positions. 
Provide proactive and reactive communication of medical-scientific data, consistent with approved product labeling and the Summary of Product Characteristics. 
Interact proactively with non-leading specialists under a clearly defined activity plan, provide R&D; program descriptions, and discuss regulatory developments without promotional intent. 
Provide reactive communication upon request to any HCP, document off-label information requests, and ensure compliance with labeling and regulations. 
Organize and participate in Medical Education activities: identify/support/educate speakers, build education programs with third parties, collaborate with the Education manager, and supply scientific material as requested. 
Participate in advisory boards in cooperation with Medical Affairs and Education, exploring scientific topics and feedback. 
Engage in market-access discussions: present highly scientific, accurate, fair and objective data to payors to inform budgeting and assessment decisions. 
Perform pre-approval activities: raise payor awareness, organize speaker training, and prepare presentations once the marketing authorization is granted. 
Provide scientific support to Sales Representatives and other company representatives, including product training and acting as a reference for scientific queries. 
Support the local implementation of the Medical Affairs plan: set up and follow up on company-sponsored studies, registries, and non-interventional studies; propose investigators and sites; participate in investigator meetings, recruitment, and result presentation. 
Gather valuable insights from scientific interactions to inform the Medical Affairs plan and business decision-making. 
Observe all regulatory requirements, including Health Care Business Integrity and Pharmacovigilance, SAFE Fleet program principles, and GCO study collaboration. 
Report all suspected adverse reactions within 24 hours and communicate with the Pharmacovigilance Department. 
For RRA employees: ensure AE/PQC reporting, compliance with HCC and legal requirements (Fair Market Value, promotion rules), and maintain inspection readiness. 
Qualifications 
Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Natural Sciences university degree, or related qualification (e.g., psychology). 
Deep knowledge of the therapeutic area, strong research skills, and ability to interpret medical data. 
Background that earns acceptance by leading specialists in peer-to-peer relationships, including relevant work experience, scientific acumen, and communication skills. 
Highly customer-focused with awareness of business results. 
Innovative and able to coordinate and drive a complex, changing environment. 
Awareness of, and adherence to, Johnson & Johnson Credo values and the International Health Care Business Integrity Guide.
