The Role
As a Maintenance & Breakdown Technician, you are responsible for ensuring that installations, machinery, and automated systems operate safely, reliably, and at optimal performance. You are the go-to person when issues arise and contribute actively to preventing them in the future.
You will:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, automated systems, and installations
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures efficiently and accurately
* Carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments using technical documentation and schematics
* Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
* Analyze recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Test, optimize, and improve system performance
* Accurately document maintenance activities in maintenance systems
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety standards and regulations
You will typically work in a shift-based environment (such as 5-shift), where teamwork, ownership, and reliability are essential.
This is You
You are a technically skilled and hands-on professional with a strong sense of responsibility and a structured approach to problem-solving.
You have:
* A completed MBO (EQF level 3 or 4) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
* Experience in a maintenance or breakdown role within an industrial or automated environment
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems;
experience with PLC or control systems is a plus
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Experience with maintenance systems (CMMS) is an advantage
* A good command of English
