Job Description: M&E Engineer
The M&E Engineer is a key member of the Building Surveying team supporting Technical Due Diligence and Project Monitoring missions in Andalucía, Spain.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that building surveying deliverables meet customers' requirements within M&E disciplines.
* Participating in technical inspections and building surveying commissions for new builds, renovations, and maintenance works.
* Identifying potential risks and liabilities associated with the property.
* Reviewing relevant documentation such as building plans, permits, maintenance records, and compliance certificates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Preparing condition reports and participating in the preparation of comprehensive due diligence reports.
* Preparing and managing planned maintenance programmes.
* Quality Monitoring: Taking part in project monitoring missions, including controlling and reporting on the quality of construction projects, their alignment with the construction contracts, monitoring study progress, permitting, etc. Evaluating the progress against contractual schedules, advising on insurance, penalties, and validating utilisation requests and invoices within an MEP scope.
* Communicating with and providing sound professional advice to clients and other project team members.
* Collaborating with specialists such as environmental consultants or structural engineers for thorough assessments.
* Advising directors promptly of any issues that arise or might arise on projects, especially those impacting Gleeds' professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
* Remaining within your role's remit and conducting additional responsibilities with approval from your line manager.

About The CandidateWho we're looking for:
* 5+ years of experience in the construction sector (Buildings / Real Estate) in Spain.
* Knowledge of facilities design and Spanish building regulations.
* Desirable experience in Technical Due Diligence, Project Monitoring, review, and project preparation.
* Strong ICT skills.
* Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
Qualifications:
* Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree.
