As Corporate Affairs Specialist (Spain), you will contribute to the design and execution of strategic projects, operating at the intersection of regulation, industry, and communities, with the objective of strengthening the social license to operate, anticipating risks and opportunities, and reinforcing the company’s institutional and reputational positioning, in line with our global Future in Action strategy and other Cemex programs.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze and anticipate the political, regulatory, and social environment (EU, national, regional, and local), assessing its impact on the business, operations, and social license to operate.
* Proactively identify and manage regulatory, social, and reputational risks and opportunities, in coordination with key areas of the company.
* Develop corporate positions, key messages, and regulatory intelligence to support stakeholder engagement and executive decision-making.
* Build and manage institutional relationships and strategic alliances with public authorities, regulators, communities, and key partners.
* Support the business in identifying and implementing new regulations, in collaboration with technical and legal teams.
* Design, coordinate, and manage social impact projects and programs linked to the industrial environment, ensuring alignment with strategy and shared value creation.
* Strengthen corporate positioning and reputation through participation in relevant forums and the development of internal and external communication materials.
* Support crisis management through institutional and social context analysis, contributing to the strategic coordination of messages and actions.
* Measure, report, and communicate social impact, fostering an internal culture of engagement and purpose.
Academic Background
* Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Environmental Sciences, Communications, Engineering, Law, or Business Administration.
* Postgraduate or specialized training will be valued.
Languages

Experience
* 3+ years of experience in Public Affairs / Corporate Affairs / ESG / Sustainability / Social Impact (CSR) /Corporate Communications

* Strong knowledge of the European and national regulatory framework and its impact on business.
* Experience managing institutional, social, and sector stakeholders, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
* Business mindset and technical understanding of industrial processes and markets, with a strong affinity for the construction sector.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, adapting messages to diverse audiences.
