The Role
As a Health & Safety, Security and Risk Manager, you will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Legends Global Iberia occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures. You will also serve as the professional leader for security, emergency management, and customer safety.
You will ensure compliance with all relevant Spanish and Portuguese regulations and standards, create a safe working environment for employees, reduce health and safety risks across the organization, and implement effective security measures in collaboration with law enforcement for both event and day-to-day operations security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Health & Safety Compliance – Build the company's own risk prevention service from scratch and ensure compliance with national and local Health and Safety legislation in Spain, including Royal Decree 39/1997 (Occupational Risks Prevention) and other relevant regulations.
* Security Leadership – Provide professional leadership for security, emergency management, and customer safety across the Iberian business.
* Policy Development – Develop, review, and update Health and Safety, Food Safety and Security policies, procedures, and risk assessments;
identify hazards and develop strategies to minimize or eliminate them;
ensure regular reviews of risk assessments.
* Quality Assurance and Compliance – Conduct annual and ad-hoc security and emergency management audits, monitor KPIs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Crisis Management and New Business Support – Develop and implement emergency response plans, respond effectively to incidents, and support new venue mobilization with robust operational security concepts.
* Training & Education – Design and implement training programs on Health and Safety, emergency protocols and hazard prevention;
lead investigations into accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
* Health & Safety Audits – Conduct safety audits, inspections, and assessments;
ensure emergency plans are in place, reviewed regularly, and employees are trained for emergencies (fire safety, first aid, evacuation procedures).
* Monitoring & Reporting – Maintain health and safety records;
report to management onperformance and areas needing attention;
collaborate with department heads to foster a safety-focused culture and support committees and management meetings with updates and performance reports.
* Legal and Regulatory Updates – Stay current with changes to local and national legislation to maintain compliance with evolving health, safety and security standards.
* Sustainability and Well-being – Contribute to well-being initiatives, including ergonomics, mental health awareness, and employee wellness programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest level. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed:
* Minimum of 5 years in a Health and Safety management role, preferably in Retail/F&B, with experience in safety/security management in large venues or public event spaces.
* Desirable experience managing licensed private security teams and collaborating with Cuerpo Nacional de Policía or Guardia Civil.
* Experience with loss prevention, anti-theft systems, and revenue protection.
* Knowledge of ISO 45001;
Royal Decree 393/2007;
Royal Decree 2364/1994. Familiarity with ISO 14001 is a plus. Certifications in Health and Safety (e.G., NEBOSH, IOSH) desirable.
* Strong understanding of Spanish labour laws and Health and Safety regulations.
* Strong time management, ability to work independently with minimal support, and self-motivation.
* Experience in health and safety auditing, inspection, monitoring and evaluation.
* Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels to prioritize safety.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
