**Mission**: As a Key Account Manager, you will be a crucial link between L'Oréal and our valued retail partners, driving sustainable and profitable growth by developing and executing strategic joint business plans. You will act as a trusted advisor to your accounts, leveraging your deep understanding of their business and the market dynamics to deliver exceptional results.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Strategic Account Management:
- Partner with the Customer Manager to develop and implement robust joint business plans that align with both L'Oréal's and the account's strategic objectives.
- Proactively identify and analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities, providing valuable insights to shape the commercial vision and inform decision-making.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the account, acting as the primary point of contact for L'Oréal.
- Develop a deep understanding of the retailer's business, including their organizational structure, decision-making processes, and competitive landscape. Develop retailer-specific development plans with compelling narratives to secure buy-in and support.
- Sales & Financial Performance:
- Build accurate sales forecasts, incorporating key growth drivers, and consistently achieve and exceed targets for turnover, market share, and profit.
- Skillfully negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for L'Oréal while maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with the account. Escalate negotiation points as needed, involving senior management when appropriate.
- Meticulously track and analyze sales performance, identifying areas of strength and weakness and developing action plans to address any challenges. Propose and implement plan adaptations as market conditions evolve.
- Manage the account P&L;, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth through effective budget management and cost control.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance, Marketing) to ensure seamless execution of account plans and consistent messaging to the retailer. Connect account stakeholders with their L'Oréal counterparts, fostering strong internal and external partnerships.
- In the spirit of 3C, lead the development and implementation of a digital Go-To-Market strategy in collaboration with Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Facing teams, and Finance, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
- Partner with Activators (Field Sales) to define and execute effective Go-To-Market plans that maximize market share and promotional ROI, embracing the 3C approach.
- Digital Expertise & E-commerce Focus:
- Play a key role in shaping L'Oréal's omnichannel strategy, particularly within e-retail. Co-lead the digital relationship with key e-commerce players, negotiating specific trade agreements to accelerate online growth.
- Analyze and interpret sales reports to identify opportunities within the pure player landscape, optimizing strategies to maximize online market share and promotional ROI. Collaborate with CRM and RGM teams to drive efficiencies and optimize promotional spend.
To be successful in this role, you have
- Around 5 years of experience relevant to the position.
- Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- High analytical and data skills.
- Ability to propose innovative ideas.
- Ability to build a business plan.
- Understanding of the P&L;
- Results-oriented and proactivity.
- Fluency in English (C1).
