Role and reporting
As part of the Finance team that supports our VP Infrastructure and Cloud Services, the Finance Business Partner provides both financial and commercial expertise to the business Leaders they support. The FBP acts as the right hand to their business leaders, helping to deliver on Keyloop’s Cloud strategy. While the role functionally reports up within Finance, there is a strong dotted line with the Business Leaders due to the hands-on expectation of running the business.
Responsibilities
* Understanding, interpreting, explaining and driving business performance in terms of hosted and cloud revenue, data centre costs, and public cloud costs at the level of granularity required to support the product.
* Identify profitability improvements and highlight unhealthy cloud cost growth not driven by increased usage or digital capabilities.
* Track cloud transformation financials, spend against spending commitments, and spend against special projects allocations.
* Own the financial narrative and its linkage to the business narrative for the Infrastructure and Cloud Business Unit.
* Lead financial planning, forecasting and business reviews for the business unit to ensure a credible, joined-up and quantifiable plan to execute its strategy.
* Collaborate with the finops team to develop and report on cloud performance KPIs.
* Evaluate, review and approve business decisions, and monitor ongoing projects to ensure benefits are tracked and realized for the business unit.
* Develop strong interpersonal relationships with Business Controllers and wider finance teams to ensure awareness of business aspects relevant to the unit, including alignment on IFRS reporting of cloud and data centre costs.
* Keep Central Finance Teams fully apprised on financial and operational performance, risks and opportunities relevant to the business unit.
* Communicate and advocate for business compliance with Finance and internal processes and controls for the function.
