At Hays we are looking for a Corporate OT Engineer to join a large multiplant industrial company, world leader in its sector. As OT Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the proper management of the group's entire OT network. From mapping the current infrastructure to integration with IT systems, your work will be essential to ensure secure, connected and resilient operations.
This role will be key in the digital transformation process of the group's plants globally, ensuring the connectivity, security and efficiency of industrial systems. As a corporate operational technology engineer you will play a central role within the I4.0 team at group level. From mapping the current infrastructure to integration with IT systems, your work will be essential to ensure secure, connected and resilient operations.
You will have the responsibility to ensure proper management (from implementation where necessary, to upgrade and maintenance) of the entire OT network across all the group plants, replicating the successful pilots already validated.
Your responsibilities will span from evaluating the current capabilities of the network to the determination of the retrofitting and/or substitution strategy, collaborating with internal and external multidisciplinary teams.
This role is pivotal in implementing the full plant connectivity and play a critical role in ensuring that the industrial systems and infrastructure remain operational, secure, and optimized.
Your main responsibilities
Design and implement robust OT networks for industrial environments.
Ensure OT network security against cyber threats, playing a key role in the response for rapid restoration.
Integrate OT networks with IT networks, in a secure and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Manage the lifecycle of OT network assets: perform hardware and software upgrades, enhancements and maintenance.
Work with specialized industrial communication protocols.
Design and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure continuity of operations.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent experience.
More than 5 years of experience working in Industrial Operation Technology.
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production issues.
In-depth knowledge of industrial networks and control systems.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex production problems.
Fluent English (essential for this role); knowledge of other languages is an asset.
Availability to travel frequently to the group's production plants.
