This role requires interaction with multiple levels of end users, managers, VIPs, and local technical staff. /ppbr/ppbKey Responsibilities: /b /pullibTechnical Support /b: Provide technical support for desktop/laptop/workstation, basic connectivity (wired and wireless), PDAs, BlackBerrys, and printers. /lilibSoftware Troubleshooting /b: Diagnose and resolve software issues, including installation, configuration, reconfiguration, or reinstallation of software. /lilibSystem Imaging /b: Reimage computers/hard drives in accordance with customer standards. /lilibIMACD Functions /b: Perform installation, move, add, change, and decommission (IMACD) functions. /lilibBackup and Restore /b: Backup and restore settings and perform associated systems administration activities. /lilibIssue Resolution /b: Take ownership of issues from end-to-end to reach a resolution for all appropriate requests and incidents. /lilibTicket Management /b: Categorize and prioritize end user support requests using a Remedy ticketing system. /lilibEquipment Handling /b: Move equipment associated with escalated help desk incidents and service requests. /lilibAsset Inventory /b: Perform asset inventory activities as needed. /lilibTraining /b: Train and orient staff on the use of hardware and software. /lilibSystem Upgrades /b: Recommend and/or perform system upgrades to ensure longevity. /lilibOther Duties /b: Perform other duties as assigned. /li /ulpbr/ppbDesired Experience: /b /pullibCertifications /b: Preferred Dell/HP Certified Technician for ordering parts through OEM and parts replacement. /lilibMicrosoft Skills /b: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft operating system installation and troubleshooting. /lilibExperience /b: Minimum of 4 years of experience in hardware, software, and networking implementation and troubleshooting in a Helpdesk or Deskside Support environment, with an emphasis on Apple/Mac support. /lilibCasper Support /b: Experience supporting Casper for deployments and software management. /lilibVirtual Desktops /b: Experience supporting virtual desktops. /lilibSCCM Troubleshooting /b: Experience in SCCM level 1 troubleshooting. /lilibBreak/Fix Skills /b: Strong break/fix skills for desktops, workstations, notebooks, and printers. /lilibIT Services /b: Broad experience in IT-related services with a basic understanding of networks, Intel servers, and telecoms. /lilibCustomer Service /b: Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide consistent, excellent support to staff at various management levels. /lilibCommunication Skills /b: Strong written and verbal communication skills. /lilibDetail-Oriented /b: Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated. /lilibSecurity Check /b: Ability to successfully pass a background security check. /lilibRemote Support /b: Experience including remote control of PCs and video conferencing knowledge. /lilibTape Media Handling /b: Handling of tape media and basic backup loading techniques. /lilibOn-Call Support /b: Rotational on-call for executive support. /lilibAsset Management /b: Coordination with the client asset management group for procurement of new hardware and tracking of hardware using a client-provided database system. /lilibHardware Imaging /b: Imaging of hardware, primarily on Windows 7. /lilibAsset Refresh /b: Planning, scheduling, and assignment of asset refresh engagements. /lilibHardware Retrieval /b: Retrieval of hardware for client terminations and job transfers. /lilibDisposal Coordination /b: Disposal of hardware in coordination with the client's physical disposal agency. /lilibInventory Reporting /b: Monthly inventory database reporting with in-stock assets using a database system equivalent to Tivoli Asset Manager. /li /ulpbr/ppAbout HCLTech: /ppWe are HCLTech, one of the fastest-growing large tech companies in the world and home to 225,000+ people across 60 countries, supercharging progress through industry-leading capabilities centered around Digital, Engineering and Cloud.
