Job Description:
Descripción del puesto ofertado: Highly prestigious British educational center is looking for assistant classroom teachers. We value teachers of British/Irish origin, as well as those from the US or Australia, and also European or Spanish teachers with full competence in English (i.e., level C1/C2). Our school offers a high-quality British education to students of all nationalities. We are recruiting a Key Stage 2 teacher to start as soon as possible.
Teachers in our schools work together to provide an exceptional standard of British education, enabling students to succeed and pursue higher education in the UK, Spain, and worldwide. Our schools are independent and co-educational, located in Alzira and Gandia (Valencia). Facilities include libraries, tennis courts, swimming pools, ICT suites, ballet rooms, indoor PE areas, and shaded outdoor play areas.
Our schools aim to provide a consistent learning experience across all locations. British School Alzira is an independent, co-educational school situated in a scenic mountain area 40 km south of Valencia, with easy access to the Mediterranean coast. British School Xativa, opened in 2009, is located beneath the historic castle of Xativa. British School Gandia, opened in 2015, offers education from Pre-Nursery to Year 9 in a coastal setting.
All teachers receive full-time permanent contracts from day one, with salaries set above the Spanish national average. Benefits include free education for children, annual flight allowances, private medical insurance, and relocation support, including assistance with accommodation and social security registration.
Requirements include C1/C2 proficiency in English, a university degree or equivalent in education or psychology, and at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or primary education. Experience with the British Curriculum (EYFS/KS1/KS2) and a valid work permit for Spain are also required.
We seek enthusiastic teachers with high expectations, fluent in English (Spanish language skills are not required). We offer a supportive environment with motivated students, excellent behavior, and engaged parents.
