Anticipated Hiring Salary: $6,288/month
Full-time (40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

Job SummaryUnder direction of the Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach, the incumbent will be responsible to recruit quality student‐athletes (with an emphasis in distance, jumps, throws, and sprints events) within the guidelines of the Code of Recruitment as required by the Head Coach;
coach student‐athletes in practice and competition;
monitor the conditioning and training of the student‐athletes;
teach and develop sportspecific skills and coaching strategies to enhance the athletic performance of student‐athletes;
assist in the success of team performance and eligibility criteria;
organize and direct local, regional and/or national meets as required;
conduct summer camps and track/field clinics;
enforce written team rules and expectations including while traveling and on and off campus conduct;
comply with NCAA, Conference and University rules and policies;
assist in the monitoring and maintenance of academic progress and eligibility of team members, and in the coordination of team travel as needed;
if applicable, prepare data and reports as necessary in support of NCAA, Conference and University rules compliance;
assist in the promotionof fund raising activities;
assist in Title IX and diversity outreach.
Key Qualifications
Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies
Strong communication and motivation skills
Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts must be compatible with those of the Head Coach
Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community
Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‐year institution
Minimum of two years coaching experience at D‐I, D‐II or JC Level within Track & Field and Cross Country
