About the Role
Cosmo is seeking a strategic, creative, and business-oriented Global Marketing & Communications Director to lead the company’s global brand positioning, communications strategy, and marketing transformation.
This role will play a key part in shaping how Cosmo presents itself to clients, partners, and the fragrance industry globally, elevating brand visibility while supporting commercial growth across regions.
Working closely with Executive Leadership, Commercial, Fragrance Creation, and regional teams, the Global Marketing & Communications Director will build a unified and modern marketing organization that strengthens Cosmo’s positioning as a leading fragrance partner.
Key Responsibilities
Global Brand Strategy
- Define and lead Cosmo’s global marketing and communications strategy
- Strengthen the company’s global brand positioning and market visibility
- Ensure consistency of messaging, storytelling, and visual identity across all regions
- Build a differentiated market presence across Fine Fragrance, Consumer Products, Ingredients, and Innovation
Commercial & Client Engagement
- Partner closely with Global Commercial and Regional teams to support business growth and client engagement
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen client relationships and support new business opportunities
- Support key global accounts with tailored presentations, launches, and communication strategies
Communications & Content
- Lead development of global content across digital platforms, social media, PR, presentations, campaigns, and internal communications
- Oversee public relations activities, media engagement, and industry visibility initiatives
- Build a scalable content strategy aligned with commercial priorities
- Build and lead a high-performing global marketing and communications organization
- Coordinate regional marketing teams to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Drive marketing process improvement, planning discipline, and KPI tracking
- Foster a culture of creativity, agility, accountability, and innovation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Fragrance Creation, Evaluation, Regulatory, and Commercial teams
- Support strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and corporate communications
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled marketing tools and content automation
Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand leadership roles
- Experience within fragrance, beauty, luxury, cosmetics, or FMCG industries strongly preferred
- Proven success building global brands and leading international marketing teams
- Strong strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience operating within a global and matrixed organization
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Deep understanding of brand strategy, digital marketing, and communications
- Experience with CRM platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing technologies
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial impact
Languages
- Spanish and/or French preferred
