Role
Corporate Optimization Transport Manager
The successful candidate will design and develop complex transportation networks (Linehaul and Last Mile distribution) from scratch and redesign existing networks using advanced tools. The role also involves integrating solutions into business units, ensuring adoption, KPI tracking, and contributing to the Group’s continuous improvement model.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and developing complex transportation networks.
* Seeking and implementing solutions within the area of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), evaluating and selecting the most advanced route optimisation tools available.
* Implementing and maintaining route optimisation models using specialised software.
* Designing and improving carrier tariff structures.
* Identifying optimisation opportunities based on data and KPI analysis within existing networks.
* Standardising transport processes across countries and business units.
* Leading continuous improvement initiatives in transport operations (Kaizen, A3, etc.).
* Collaborating with logistics, operations, and executive teams to implement strategic changes to routes.
* Defining, developing, monitoring and analysing transport KPIs (cost, service, quality, emissions).
* Ensuring implementation and follow‑up of initiatives across countries.
Requirements
* Required:
o Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Transport Management and Logistics, or a similar field.
o Written and spoken English at C1 level.
o Minimum 5 years of prior experience in designing and developing complex transportation networks.
o Solid knowledge of transport processes (LTL, FTL, Express, etc.) and pricing models.
o Advanced knowledge of route optimisation software and data analysis tools.
o Experience with customer quality indicators, KPIs, and sector benchmarking.
o Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, ...).
o Knowledge and experience in long‑distance transport, parcel delivery, and courier services.
* Desirable:
o Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Supply Chain Management.
o Experience in management positions within Logistics and Transport companies.
o Background in Supply Chain consulting, providing services to multinational clients.
o Knowledge of transportation regulations and standards.
o Other languages are desirable.
o Travel availability.
