This project aims to enhance the capabilities of a Generic Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Simulator, designed for training UAS Flight Operators. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing new features, including handover functionalities between consoles and applications for visual system display on simulators.Responsibilities:
Develop functionalities for independent control of UAVs and Ground Control Stations.Design and implement low-latency video streaming applications, with dynamic source switching.Implement handover capabilities for seamless UAV control transfer between Ground Control Stations.Create a Payload Control Monitor System (PCMS) application for switching video sources from various Image Generator computers during handovers.Enhance UAV systems with additional failures, controls, and functionalities.Contribute to the design of the overall GCS architecture to support new functionalities.Conduct testing, validation, Customer Confidence Tests (CCT), and On-Site Acceptance Tests (OSAT).Maintain detailed documentation of applications, processes, and systems.Qualifications:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Proven experience with software development in Qt and C++.Familiarity with Docker for application deployment.Experience with Ansible for version management and deployment is advantageous.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Experience in simulation environments or aerospace projects is a plus.This project is developed exclusively on-site at the client's office to ensure close collaboration and seamless integration.
