Madrid, SpainThe RoleThe Lead Compositor will lead a team of compositors, working closely with Visual Effects and CG Supervisors to composite elements that complete visual-effects shots.ResponsibilitiesAct as the key contact for production and supervisors, ensuring clear communication and addressing creative challenges, solutions, and schedule changes.Balance creative and technical aspects of each shot.Meet schedules and show deadlines.Collaborate with the Compositing and Visual Effects Supervisors to evaluate creative and technical approaches.Possess a strong understanding of color space principles.Provide briefs and direction to the team, ensuring proper execution of shots.Integrate 2D, 3D, and live-action elements to high-end visual effects standards.Manage team workload, time management, and feedback actions.Establish workflow templates and documentation for the team.Ensure tools are available and properly set up for the department.Attend dailies, present team work, and guide artists on presentation.Provide regular feedback and quality control for team artists.Train and mentor junior artists.SkillsExcellent knowledge of Nuke and production experience.Experience with large, distributed teams.Organizational and prioritization skills.Strong eye for detail, composition, color, and lighting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Understanding of color space principles.Ability to multitask with high attention to detail.Knowledge of the VFX pipeline.Comfort in fast-paced environments.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Desirable SkillsProgramming and coding experience.Knowledge of practical lighting for photography.Experience dealing with clients.Diversity StatementDeluxe is committed to inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, fostering an environment where all employees can bring their full selves to work.
