The Team
Our British Virgin Islands (BVI) office is experiencing significant growth, winning and delivering high-profile cross-border restructuring and insolvency engagements at a rapid pace. As a result, we are seeking talented and ambitious individuals at Associate level to join this expanding team.
The opportunity
- As part of a highly skilled team based in the BVI, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border restructuring advisory and insolvency matters, often involving complex offshore structures and international stakeholders, alongside many of the industry’s leading Senior/Managing Directors.
- You will gain broad exposure across industries and jurisdictions, with access to established formal training as well as invaluable ‘on the job’ learning and development.
- You will be able to apply and develop the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills on company-side advisory projects, accelerated sale processes, cash flow modelling, contingency planning assignments, and formal insolvency appointments.
- You will be encouraged to build a strong professional network internally across A&M; service lines, and externally with leading international law firms, financial institutions and the wider business community.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will gain an exceptional range of experience, working on assignments across the restructuring spectrum. In addition, you will play an active role in business development activities including; identifying potential clients who may need support; the creation of client pitches; and assisting with proposals to secure new mandates.
Ideally, we are seeking individuals who are ACA, ACCA or CPI qualified, with a strong academic background and proven experience within a professional services environment such as accounting, banking, or consulting. Previous successful candidates have joined from Insolvency, Restructuring, Audit, Tax, or Forensics.
You should demonstrate both the technical ability and ambition to build on your existing skill set while developing deeper expertise across the full range of restructuring services. Relevant project experience may include company-side advisory mandates, accelerated M&A; processes, Independent Business Reviews, short-term cash flow and capital structure analysis, contingency planning, and formal insolvency assignments.
