Purchasing Manager is responsible for coordinating and optimizing of the purchasing of raw materials process. To coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and sales departments to acquire raw materials, components, equipment and services in a cost effective and timely manner. Providing purchasing solutions at the lowest cost, recommending cost saving proposals and alignment with divisional guidelines.
In dependence of General Manager, coordinate and optimize of the purchasing of raw materials process according to the guidelines of all the departments in the company and the group involved. This position is in charge of leading and coordinating its team to properly
develop purchasing strategy. Collaboration across Supply Chain dpt and Formulator is a must. The Purchasing Manager is member of Management Team.
**Requisitos**:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement of the purchase projects.
- Plan, coordinate, perform and monitor the acquisition of raw materials and trying to get the lowest cost and the highest quality.
- Take part in the design of plans, systems, tracking systems to help implement efficiently needs for materials. Propose improvements in the procedures.
- Analyse proposals from suppliers, negotiate and close contracts.
- Search, select and maintain competitive suppliers.
- Find new products, materials and sources of supplies as well as carry out comparative analysis for cost control.
- Calculation and analysis of coverage.
- Control the adequacy of supplies of raw materials according to the supply plan from the needs of the company.
- Collaborate by calculating standard cost of raw materials, in the calculation of standard cost of manufactured products.
- Conduct and supervise reports to general management in procurement and supplies (risk and hedging calculation).
- Analyze vendor proposals, negotiate and close contracts and provides recommendations to management.
- Ensure sourcing requirements are fully reflected in the purchase order and proper implementation of contracts.
- Purchases items that may require some assessment of quality and/or compatibility.
- Observe/identify purchasing possibilities.
- Reviews weekly output from internal customers such as Material Requirements Planning for requisitions.
- Maintains accurate master planning data in business systems.
- Participate in designing plans, systems, tracking mechanisms to help implement material requirements efficiently.
- Responsible for operational relations with relevant suppliers
- Make medium term forecast of cost price development.
- Attunes purchase orders with manufacturing.
- Advising Product Management and Supply Management in case of stagnation.
- Successfully troubleshoots most supply bottlenecks/ inventory delays independently.
- Market scanning i.e. gain insight with regard to supplier markets, new market developments, etc.
- Market scanning, compare quotations, cost price analyses, negotiating, closing deals, supplier selection.
- Decide inventory strategy to ensure timely and adequate inventory flow.
- May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
- Gets info from catalogues and personal contacts.
- Participates in coordinating activities with supply management colleagues.
- Translate market developments and understand their impact on product flow, pricing and availability.
- Conduct audits to suppliers (integral and local). Collaborate with Technical Manager in proper monitoring of the actions arising from these audits.
