JOB SUMMARY
Working under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-routine assignments by following established procedures. Recognizes when to deviate from accepted practices to resolve problems effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Follow established procedures on routine assignments; receive instructions on new tasks; complete assignments in areas such as:
* Train and coordinate activities of machine operators or Maintenance Assistants (MAs) in maintaining production equipment.
* Troubleshoot to identify problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
* Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, or sketches.
* Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checks.
* Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document activities as per program guidelines.
* Assist in moving and installing equipment.
* Calibrate equipment using general and specialized test tools.
* Source equipment parts as needed.
* Work overtime or be on-call as required.
* Follow all company security procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge Requirements
* Understanding of company policies and procedures.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
* Proficiency with hand tools, leveling instruments, and calibration equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot failures detectable at the IO level.
* Basic mathematics skills.
* Possession of forklift certification may be required.
* Knowledge of electronic color codes and component markings.
* Understanding of safety practices.
* Experience with maintenance tracking programs.
* Proficiency in Windows-based PC operations (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email).
Education & Experience Requirements
* Associate's degree in electronics with emphasis on servo positioning or an equivalent discipline.
* 2 to 5 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
* Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
