The OpportunityWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Control and HIL Engineer to join our Product Innovation & Development team at Hitachi Energy. You will play a key role in validating and certifying power converters and control systems for energy storage and renewable energy applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic, international, and innovative environment.How You'll Make An Impact- Execute commissioning and validation tests for power conversion and control systems, including interfacing with energy storage systems.- Conduct technical analysis of logs, signals, errors, and system performance;
produce clear and reusable reports.- Simulate and debug control algorithms;
assess compliance with grid codes and system stability under electrical transients.- Manage full traceability of tests, from requirement specification to final reporting.- Participate in defining validation strategies, test procedures, test plans, and acceptance criteria.- Develop and implement test automation and support proof-of-concept and certification activities.Your Background- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field).- Experience in electrical systems design, power converters, and control systems.- Previous experience validating electronic products and/or embedded software;
hands-on with laboratory test benches and HIL systems.- Knowledge of simulation tools (Spice, PSCAD, Simulink, PLECS) and advanced understanding of AC/DC and DC/DC converters.- Familiarity with energy storage systems, photovoltaic systems, and hybrid PV–battery integration is highly valued.- High level of Spanish and English;
