What we look for
We seek a seasoned, highly technical Azure Senior Cloud Engineer with in-depth experience in engineering and integrating cloud platforms and services. The candidate should have experience working with development and business agile teams on medium to large-scale cloud migrations, along with a deep understanding of cloud best practices, security, industry trends, modern technologies, and innovative working methods. This role involves collaboration on an important project with a global investment company, remotely from Spain. A high level of English is required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineer a best-in-class Azure Cloud platform with a focus on PaaS.
2. Engineer and integrate cloud solutions and services following industry best practices, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
3. Conduct proof of concepts for new cloud services or third-party tools.
4. Collaborate with InfoSec teams to review and enhance Azure security posture.
5. Innovate solutions for complex technical problems involving distributed systems, scalability, and security, translating ideas into designs and implementations.
6. Refine cloud strategy, adoption, and migration plans in collaboration with peers.
7. Work closely with development teams to facilitate their cloud journey, evaluate new service requirements, and implement solutions globally.
8. Identify, automate, and evolve the platform to improve reliability, operability, and developer experience.
9. Weekly engagement with new challenges using a modern technology stack.
10. Engineer fully deployable services using infrastructure-as-code, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Mandatory Requirements
1. Strong experience with Azure PaaS services, including design, engineering, and implementation.
2. Deep understanding of Kubernetes, AKS, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Event Grid, Log Analytics, SQL, Blob Storage, Sentinel, Security Center.
3. Experience with cloud transformation and change programs.
4. Solid background in virtualization, Windows, Linux environments, storage, databases, and networking.
5. Proficiency with modern DevOps tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes.
6. Understanding of PaaS, Infrastructure-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code, and their applications.
7. Experience with modern engineering practices, CI/CD, scripting languages (Python, .NET, PowerShell, Node.js, Java).
8. Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
9. Broad understanding of cloud ecosystems, technologies, and trends.
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-management, and proficiency in English (C1 or higher).
Desired Skills
1. University degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Azure Cloud Certifications (Associate, Expert, or Specialty).
3. Understanding of AWS and other cloud services (GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
4. Experience with Power BI and Azure Power Platform.
