Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in supporting critical manufacturing .NET applications and a good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with operational experience to maintain, optimize, and ensure the reliability of our applications in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
o Provide advanced support for critical .NET applications used in manufacturing.
o Investigate, diagnose, and resolve escalated issues promptly to minimize impact.
o Collaborate with teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
o Communicate with customers during high-priority issues.
2. SRE Practices:
o Implement and promote SRE principles to improve system performance and reliability.
o Develop monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue resolution.
o Automate tasks such as deployments and recovery processes.
3. System Maintenance & Optimization:
o Perform routine maintenance and updates of customer application environments.
o Collaborate to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
4. Collaboration & Communication:
o Support application lifecycle management with implementation and testing teams.
o Document troubleshooting guides and best practices.
o Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years in technical support or similar roles, focusing on .NET applications.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and software’s role in production.
* Experience with SRE practices including monitoring and automation.
* Proficiency in debugging and optimizing .NET applications, especially C#.
* Knowledge of SQL Server and query writing.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
* Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
* Scripting knowledge (PowerShell).
* Certifications in ITIL, SRE, or cloud technologies is advantageous.
