Our client is a global leader in innovative packaging solutions. You will join a dynamic team within an international working environment collaborating with plants in Spain, France and Portugal.
Responsibilities
* Strategy: Develop information related to suppliers in your panel to elaborate and monitor your category strategy. Lead and execute procurement strategies for the suppliers panel in your category, developing, promoting, globalizing, or substituting. Further develop the category strategy, risk management and reverse engineering to understand supply cost structure and supplier development. Install KPIs at all levels to monitor the implementation strategy. Support business development activities and other value-adding cross-sectional projects from a purchasing perspective. Set up state-of-the-art purchasing standards to implement the procurement category strategy.
* Sourcing: Initiate and lead regional sourcing to ensure objectives of capacity, quality, price, time limit, service, reliability, financial health, and technical backup are met. Identify and source new suppliers and launch calls for tenders.
* Negotiation: Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
* Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage procurement contracts and agreements.
* Stakeholders Management (transversal): Support plant project teams in the assignment process and forward sourcing monitoring. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
* Troubleshooting: Address cost, quality, and delivery concerns. Manage and resolve supplier-plant problems.
* Database Management: Establish and update an approved supplier panel. Create a database for your procurement category and centralize price updates where possible.
Requisites / Qualifications
* University degree, preferably in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or Supply Chain or equivalent education.
* Minimum 3 years in a similar position in the industrial sector (preferably packaging).
* Fluent in English, French and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus but not required;
German or Italian are advantages but not necessary.
* Proficient in Office. Willingness to travel in France, Spain, and Portugal (up to 30-40%).
* Excellent soft skills, business and emotional intelligence and exemplary work ethics. High degree of self-responsibility and proven influential capabilities (intercultural & transversal management). Hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit;
