De la empresa Ana Muñoz-Manchado's lab (AMMlab) is an integrative group at the University of Cádiz and INiBICA focuses on uncovering the genetic mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.
We currently pursue several research lines, including:
- Investigating cell-type–specific mechanisms in Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
- Elucidating the role of the striatum in neurodegeneration
To advance the objectives of our research lines, our group employs a comprehensive set of techniques, including single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), molecular and cellular biology methods, histological analyses, stereotaxic procedures, and behavioral studies.

Requisitos
- PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Not more than five years should have elapsed since the date the PhD was obtained.
- Provide proof of a minimum period of twelve months of stays or employment at universities or R&D;+i centers in countries different from the one where the PhD was obtained.
- Must not have previously been employed for more than twelve months under any grants awarded in prior calls of the same nature.
The following will be positively valued:
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R).
- Possession of a certification in animal welfare for experimental animals (Category B or C).
- Previous experience with the techniques mentioned above.
- International experience and fluency in English.
- Publications.
- Previous research experience.
- Recommendation letters from previous laboratories.
