Senior Cloud Architect
Freelance Full‑time contract – Long‑term project in Soria, hybrid (on‑site 1 day per month, the remaining time teleworking). Desired start date: ASAP.
Responsibilities & Tasks
* Cloud Architecture & Strategy
o Design and lead the migration from hybrid/on‑prem infrastructure to a cloud‑first architecture (Azure preferred; AWS is a plus).
o Define a long‑term infrastructure roadmap aligned with business growth and international expansion.
o Architect scalable environments for:
+ ERP systems
+ Manufacturing systems (MES, production control)
+ B2B/B2C e‑commerce platforms
+ Data & analytics platforms
* DevOps & Automation Leadership
o Design and implement enterprise‑grade CI/CD pipelines.
o Introduce Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
o Standardise deployment processes across subsidiaries.
o Improve release governance and change management processes.
* Reliability & High Availability
o Define HA/DR strategies and disaster‑recovery policies.
o Implement an observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor).
o Reduce downtime for business‑critical operations (production & logistics).
* Security & Compliance (DevSecOps)
o Lead DevSecOps practices.
o Implement IAM policies and Zero‑Trust principles.
o Ensure compliance with GDPR and international data regulations.
o Conduct infrastructure risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
* Team Leadership & Governance
o Mentor DevOps and IT infrastructure engineers.
o Collaborate with ERP teams, developers, cybersecurity, and external vendors.
o Act as the technical decision‑maker for infrastructure investments.
o Coordinate infrastructure standards across international subsidiaries.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
* Technical Expertise
o 6+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture.
o Proven experience designing cloud‑native or hybrid architectures.
o Strong experience with:
+ Azure (preferred) or AWS
+ Kubernetes & containerisation (Docker)
+ CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
+ Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred)
+ Linux & Windows Server environments
o Strong networking knowledge (VPNs, firewalls, segmentation).
o Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments or ERP ecosystems is highly valued.
* Architecture & Governance
o Experience defining cloud governance frameworks.
o Cost optimisation (FinOps awareness).
o Ability to design scalable multi‑country infrastructure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
* Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (or equivalent).
* Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD).
* Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.
* Knowledge of data platform architecture (Azure Data Factory, Power BI environments).
Language
* Spanish (required).
* English (professional proficiency; international coordination).
