Position Summary
The BIM REVIT Designer is responsible for supporting the design activities within the prefab business. The role requires a thorough understanding of the industry as it relates to design and project scope. Key responsibilities include preparing all BIM drawings needed to build a prefabricated solution according to customer requirements, or providing drafting support to Technical Leaders or Project Engineers during the tendering phase.
Education
Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an AA college degree in CAD or drafting studies is preferred.
Skills
Minimum one to two years of Autodesk REVIT MEP experience, with advanced training/experience in current REVIT software.
One or more years of experience in BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud working in a collaborative environment.
Some experience in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks or Creo for creating manufacturing pieces.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Experience in building or industrial installations (cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing) and REVIT MEP.
Able to model in 3D LOD 350-400.
Experience
Data Center critical infrastructure experience is a plus (not mandatory but highly valuable).
Roles and Responsibilities
Demonstrate a basic understanding of accurate drafting methods, layering, X‐References, dimensioning, model space/paper space, viewports, and scaling.
Use REVIT for structural, electrical, and mechanical installations.
Create BIM families.
Collaborate using ACC and perform collision control services.
Update models to reflect as‐built conditions.
Apply Microsoft Office product skills.
Show willingness to learn with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Be self‐motivated, take pride in work, and accept responsibility for professionalism.
Communicate effectively and build trusting relationships, working independently or as part of a team.
