Akens\Nordburg is looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f) for an international company that develops and commercializes trenchless systems to liaise with water network operators, engineering firms, and contractors. The successful candidate must have a minimum experience of 10 years in Business Development in the trenchless industry in Spain/Portugal. The successful individual must possess a strong technical background in the construction industry and have the cultural sensitivity to effectively communicate with all stakeholders of a rehabilitation project. The position reports directly to the “Director Business Development Europe” based in Germany.
Educate network operators and engineering firms about trenchless rehabilitation
Provide engineering support for the design, project planning, scheduling, and execution of pressure pipe rehab projects
Create technical specifications and quotations in collaboration with the Head Office
Provide technical assistance to network operators and contractors during all phases of a rehab project including on-site supervisory support
Strong communication skills to liaise with engineering firms, contractors, and network operators
Spanish (mother tongue) and fluent in English; Portuguese desirable
The candidate will work from a home office (preferably in Madrid and surroundings) and travel regularly within Spain/Portugal from there. Travels to the head office in Germany on specific occasions, e.g. annual sales meeting.
