British American Tobacco Iberia has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative in Barcelona.
Execute all brand & trade cycle plan activities with excellence in execution to drive SOM growth, IMS volume, and brand activations in outlets to influence consumers during their moment of truth. Establish close engagement with retailers and staff to gain trade support and loyalty for BAT brands. Sales Representatives are the company's image and must transmit BAT values and culture.
Your key responsibilities will include :
* Execute Trade and Brand Marketing activities and programs (Distribution, Display & Dialogue) within the territory according to the cycle plan activities, ensuring excellence in execution.
* Ensure proper BAT portfolio distribution and optimal stock management in each outlet to contribute to SOM growth for BAT brands.
* Manage information accurately and responsibly, maintaining an updated and correct database of outlets (driven by Petra System or California).
* Execute the Trade Coverage Plan (TCP), ensuring the agreed coverage and call frequency aligned with the cycle plan and guidelines of the Area Sales Manager.
* Identify opportunities and develop plans for all sales channels in the area.
* Engage with key business partners to gain high levels of trade support and loyalty, while enhancing understanding of the trading environment.
* Monitor competitor activities: notify all competitor activations or NPI in the market, assess these actions, and recommend response plans.
* Be cost-conscious: complete internal reports on expenses such as gas, parking tickets, and stock in the vehicle, following BAT procedures.
* Keep all required information records updated in the company's systems, ensuring quality and timeliness. Connect daily via UMTS to transfer information and retrieve emails.
* Own and be accountable for resources, maximizing resource allocation for SOM growth (e.g., POSM, 121). Understand the company's investments in the territory.
* Comply with all laws, regulations, and internal standards related to environmental protection, safety at work, fire safety, and EHS policies.
What are we looking for?
* Approximately 1-2 years of experience in trade marketing or sales within FMCG.
* Functional knowledge & skills, results-oriented, with a clear understanding of BAT trade strategies.
* Cross-market knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows).
* Managerial & interpersonal skills, teamwork, personal motivation, strong communication skills, critical and analytical thinking.
* University degree; MBA or Master’s preferred.
* Good command of English (only for Border and Touristic TMR).
