* Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify, prioritize and eliminate process losses.
* Create and apply setting standards that ensure the correct interaction between machine and material, contributing to the availability of all required information so that all operators and technicians are fully trained and qualified.
* Interact with cross functional partners and Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure effective implementation of new products.
* Own change management and validation processes for a designated process. Update process control strategies and operating procedures as changes occur.
* Drive cost savings through improved productivity, material utilization improvements and by optimizing labour.
* Develop innovative process equipment solutions to deliver superior consumer driven product designs.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* B.S. Degree in an Engineering Discipline
* 0 to 2 years of working experience. Any experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to root cause problem solving, Lean Manufacturing practices and / or continuous improvement is a plus.
* Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, methodologies and mathematical / engineering methods to solve problems in a manufacturing environment (know the tools such as poka yoke / mistake proofing / pFMEA, SMED, 5S, etc., familiar with Key Performance Indicator reporting, Loss Tree, 5-whys, etc.)
* Advanced Office package skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Fluency in English and ideally in French, Spanish or Portuguese
* Able to communicate efficiently, good team worker but also able to work autonomously
