**Location/Division Specific Information**
This position fits under Evidera. Evidera is now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific and is referred to as the Clinical Research Group (CRG). The Publications and Scientific Communications team, a part of Medical Writing and Healthcare Communications at Evidera, prepares medical publications, abstracts, posters, presentations, and other scientific communications. Our dynamic, highly collaborative team focuses on providing quality writing to internal collaborators and external pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
**A day in the life**:
- Write, edit, and handle publications and other scientific communications (manuscripts, posters, abstracts, oral presentation slide decks, and review articles), on time, within budget, and with little instruction
- Appropriately resolve or raise project management issues, such as out-of-scope activities
- Ensure compliance with quality processes and requirements
- Represent the team as a lead contact on projects
- Lead or provide input on initiatives for process improvement
**Keys to Success**:
**Education and Experience**:
- Extensive proven experience as a writer of peer-reviewed medical publications (comparable to 5+ years); experience working in a CRO environment preferred
- Excellent scientific writing, project management, and digital literacy
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific field; advanced degree preferred
- In-depth knowledge of relevant specialty areas of medicine
- Additional qualifications (AMWA, EMWA, or RAC training; CMPP certification) advantageous
- Excellent written English. Proactive communicator
- Sound professional judgement in dealing with inquiries, issues, and customer concerns; able to independently make decisions and solve problems
- Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently
- Able to complete work within fixed budgets and timelines and to facilitate conflict resolution among team members and clients
**Physical Requirements / Work Environment**:
- Normal and routine office duties.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
