About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team while ensuring a safe work environment. You will engage your team during a shift to maintain safety, quality, attendance performance, and engagement. Managers provide associates with tools for success and drive productivity through data‑driven decisions and analytical problem‑solving. This role is located in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
- Developing performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
- Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
- Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
- Building and executing productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Area Managers to balance labor
- Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
- Communicating policies to associates and acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
- Ensuring procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
- Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs
- This is a hands‑on role that requires you to work closely with your team on the shop floor to solve problems and remove barriers

- Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
- Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
- Work collaboratively with management‑level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life
You’ll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You’ll also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day is varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvements and wide‑scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to new managers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Work a adaptable schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams
- Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
