For REWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga, we are looking for a SAP Specialist Master Data .
As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems, we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390,000 employees.
Our team of more than 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Today, we manage more than 80 logistics centers and more than 23,000 local network connections to ensure the continuous supply of data to the 32,000 scanner checkout counters in more than 7,300 stores.
We are the team behind the backbone of our company's structure, managing the essential data that powers operations, finance, and partnerships. From legal entities and cost centers to customers, suppliers, and investment relationships, we ensure everything is connected and accurate. Our work supports key areas like procurement, sales, and billing. We use smart tools to maintain data quality, prevent duplicates, and streamline workflows. As the central source of truth, we deliver reliable master data to all business systems.
What you will do
You will make the difference by actively contributing to the steady development of our SAP systems each day and driving our cloud transformation to S4/Hana by configuring and customizing applications.
You stay on top of things and keep a constant eye on the quality of our IT solutions, working closely with specialist departments to develop valuable ideas for improvements.
You play an active role in projects for further development of the IT landscape and drive innovation forward.
You design the best IT solutions, whether for large‐scale projects or small change requests from the departments, by aligning stakeholder requirements, technical requirements of our SAP systems, and our general IT strategy, including security‐relevant aspects.
You maintain an overview and explain complex relationships simply, using documentation and visualizations to illustrate complex structures and processes as a competent advisor.
You ensure the smooth operation of our systems and provide 2nd and 3rd level support, turning into an SAP‐detective to find the cause of tricky problems in complex systems and processes linked by a variety of dependencies.
What you will bring
As a person, you are a doer, enjoy working independently, and take responsibility. You are open to new ideas and eager to learn, delving into SAP systems to root out weak points and proactively contribute ideas for automation and standardization.
You have first experience with master data management in SAP (desirable already with Master Data Governance), solid experience in independent customizing and configuring in SAP FI/CO, are familiar with SAP standards, and ideally also familiar with S4/Hana. Additional data modelling and data warehousing are not new to you.
You are familiar with requirements engineering, a strong communicator, and know how to manage stakeholders and translate their requirements into IT solutions.
You are a team player and thrive in an international environment where cooperation and teamwork are crucial.
You have an analytical perspective, technical understanding, and a willingness to think outside the box, constantly learning new things and staying abreast of state‐of‐the‐art technology.
You enjoy working with Miro and Jira; your excellent written and spoken English skills round off your profile – we would also welcome additional German language skills.
