At ING we are looking for a Finance Budget Partner Your role and work environment: We are looking for a Finance Budget Partner to new segments to help us in our ambition to support the Bank’s growth and diversification achieving commercial and financial targets, while ensuring that we build towards the overall strategy. You are the key representative from the Finance department in a cross-functional team with colleagues from business, operations and IT to contribute to the launch of new segments and have an impactful partnership with all our stakeholders. This means you fully understand the financial business case of the new segments (specifically Affluents, BuBa) with special focus on the management of the expenses and capacity budget and use this to proactively propose and promote ideas to optimize resources and investments across the bank and bring our strategy into execution. In your journey towards achieving this challenging target, you will have a global perspective and you will work on efficiency from a global point of view and from different perspectives: Culture, Governance & Way of Working, and Data Monitoring & Visibility. In this role you are part of a small team (5 FTE) in the Management Accounting area, and besides your direct responsibilities you support your direct colleagues in their roles as Budget Partner to the new segments. This will grant you with a dynamic environment, growth potential and the possibility to have real impact. You will receive close support and attention from your manager in the delivery of your duties and your professional development. Your key responsibilities: What you'll be doing as a Finance Budget Partner to new segments: E2E view on the new business segments (Affluents, BuBa), understanding Business case preparation, actuals performance and monitoring and forecasting Participation in the analysis of the business case figures, actively participating in the meetings with all stakeholders. Full control in the actual figures, understanding the external and internal income, risk costs, RWA and balance sheet developments. Full control on the expenses figures and on the capacity evolution. Strong connection with the Business Tribe for sharing the information. Active forecasting, anticipating business developments, in close cooperation with business representatives. Ongoing development and refinement of financial models thanks to the in-depth knowledge of the business (actuals & forecast). Being the finance partner to business stakeholders, resulting in an active contributor to the overall strategic partnering/financial planning function in finance Ad hoc analyses & research to support key strategic initiatives & pricing. Share insights and challenge the existing business E2E performance. Collaborate and challenge new business development proposals. Being able to translate analyses and business performance into concise and powerful presentations Strategy papers and presentations. Business Performance monitoring. Local Steerco (Affluents, Buba). Support the team on process & controls improvement: Inspire and challenge the team to continuously keep developing and gaining the required skills to be the best they can be. Be the leader on process improvement and automation initiatives to free-up resources for value added analysis and tasks. Take the next step in improving, implementation, automation and documentation of controls to further strengthen all key processes. Feed your curiosity with research and competition monitoring. A strong set of technical and analytical abilities: Master or bachelor’s degree (preferably in mathematics or engineering) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role. Full proficiency in Excel (PowerQuery), SAS and SQL. Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset. Global vision.
