About the Role
Mission of the position :
* Improve and consolidate good practices on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
* Take care of the global management of the area.
* Perform hazards identification and risk assessment on job activities and workplaces to ensure they meet safety regulations.
* Promote occupational health and good practices within the Company and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
* Cooperate with managers, employees, and other professionals needed to ensure that workplaces and job activities conform with organizational procedures and safety standards.
* Ensure the Company is aware of and complies with all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities, and the use of its plant, equipment, and substances.
* Carry out the relationship with external Competent Bodies and Regulatory Organizations.
* Manage the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes, and recommend actions in cooperation with other company figures involved.
* Manage HSE training programs and conduct training sessions for management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
* Generate and maintain the corresponding and mandatory HSE documentation and promote the commitment to reporting and avoiding bad practices by all employees.
* Coordinate emergency procedures, firefighting, and first aid crews.
* Report to management on the status of occupational health and safety programs (KPI’s).
* Coordinate annual medical check-ups, third-party activities, and needed PPE deliverance.
What You Need to Be Successful
* Degree in three HSE specialties (ergonomics, safety, and hygiene).
* 5 years of experience as an HSE Specialist performing risk assessment in the manufacturing industry.
* Knowledge of standard ISO 45001 : 2018 and experience in Occupational health and safety.
* Knowledge of standard ISO 14001 : 2015 and competencies leading processes of waste management, environmental risk assessment, and Greenhouse Gas emissions.
* Experience and ability in HSE training and internal audits.
* Proficient in applying quantitative risk assessment techniques.
* Knowledge of basic record-keeping practices.
* Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office package & ERP environment.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in English, oral and written.
