Therapeutic Specialist, HIV

Specific Responsibilities
* Prepare regional and account business plans for HIV in your territory aligned to local brand plan priorities;
communicate required actions to achieve goals. With guidance, monitor sales progress and action plans.
* Identify and map patient referral pathways within HIV for your territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
* Achieve sales targets in the assigned territory.
* Work with Regional Market Access, Medical, and Marketing to ensure local access for HIV Gilead medicines.
* Establish and develop relationships with key customers, accounts, and key opinion leaders;
set and achieve customer contact plans and related KPIs.
* Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
* Represent the company at professional events and promote products when appropriate.
* Collaborate with Gilead Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Marketing, and Market Access on cross-functional projects.
* Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to Marketing and Sales management;
complete necessary administrative tasks (e.G., updating customer databases, expenses).
* Achieve competency levels required for the role;
comply with country regulations and code of conduct;
travel and overnight stays as needed.
Knowledge, Experience And Skills
* Passion for commercializing breakthrough medicine;
strong commercial mindset;
robust scientific acumen;
patient- and customer-centric approach.
* Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required;
experience in HIV therapeutics is preferred.
* Scientific degree in Sciences, Pharmacy, or similar is required.
* Established contacts with relevant customers and solid scientific knowledge;
ability to digest publications and talks;
understanding of how HIV services are delivered.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams;
ability to interact with key opinion leaders and executives.
* Experience in account planning and cross-functional account management;
self-motivated with autonomy;
awareness of industry trends and competitive practices.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret information to provide recommendations;
comfortable coordinating multiple communication channels;
willingness to travel.
