General Description
Under the direction of the National Field Director Spain & Portugal, this individual is responsible for maximizing the performance of BeiGene’s products in the designated region in Spain. The Regional Field Manager (RFM) implements marketing and sales strategies and is responsible for achieving sales targets supported by defined resources and budgets. The RFM also coaches and develops the commercial team.
Essential Functions of the Job
* Build brand awareness for BeiGene and its products in the hemato-oncology market.
* Establish relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), study groups, and key accounts.
* Prepare the market for BeiGene’s product approvals.
* Implement marketing strategies for upcoming launches.
* Build and structure a competent commercial field team in Spain.
* Achieve regional sales goals and performance metrics.
* Plan and monitor regional budgets.
* Define sales goals and analyze market performance.
* Identify developmental needs of team members and execute training and coaching programs.
* Provide scientific support to KOLs in hospitals.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment.
* Keep management informed of market changes and competitor activities.
* Supervise key account plans and collaborate with market access teams.
* Work with marketing to optimize field force effectiveness.
* Participate in scientific meetings and workshops.
* Provide leadership that fosters high performance, engagement, and alignment with BeiGene values.
* Establish relationships with customers and stakeholders in hematology and oncology.
* Drive business decisions with a focus on patient care.
* Ensure team compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications
* Scientific education and experience in similar roles, with a life science degree preferred.
* Over 5 years of qualified experience as a commercial team leader, with leadership in the hemato-oncology market.
* Proven success in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
* Specific knowledge of the hemato-oncology market.
* Successful supervision of commercial teams.
* Strong social skills and teamwork capacity.
* Highly motivated, solution-oriented, and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication and thought leadership skills.
* Expertise in Hemato-Oncology is mandatory.
* Reliable contacts with hematologists and opinion leaders.
* Confident manner, with scientific and medical credibility.
* Enjoy working in a team and networking.
* Strong implementation skills.
* Good command of English and computer skills.
* Valid driver’s license.
Education Required
* University degree in science or business.
* At least 10 years of industry experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Manage the local/regional sales team, including hiring, supervising, and developing team members.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office.
Other Qualifications
Fluency in English and the local language; additional European languages are an advantage.
Travel
Approximately 60% of the time.
