Career Opportunities : Pet Care Product Development Lead (1521)
Development of innovative products in the field of hygienic bedding for animals (cats) and related categories, promoting solutions that improve the quality of life for pets and their owners. This role is key to identifying market trends, applying product design processes, and ensuring our products meet customer expectations while promoting a positive environmental impact. Responsibilities include completing all steps of product development, including design and specifications, working with the Quality department to resolve critical issues, and supporting sales teams with tools (traditional and digital) to attract and retain customers for current and new products launched in TOLSA.
FUNCTIONS
* New Product Development : Lead the development of new products from conception to commercialization, following strategic innovation projects, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and objectives. Incorporate new ideas based on application knowledge and propose new product development projects. Ensure technical updating of Project Leaders, including external partnerships, to maintain relevant knowledge for product development.
* Technical Assistance : Provide technical support to sales teams, resolve queries related to products, conduct product presentations and training, and support other areas such as Mines, Quality, or Operations, both in-lab and externally.
* Design : Implement design processes that comply with current regulations, ensuring sustainable products with low environmental impact.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education : Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or related fields.
* Experience : Minimum 7+ years of R&D experience in the pet care sector, specifically in cat litters and related products. Knowledge of design processes, ISO standards, laboratory techniques, and product development in the animal litter sector.
* Personal Competencies : Leadership, motivation, proactive and results-oriented, ability to work under pressure, adaptable to change, willing to travel, and passionate about animal welfare. Additional requirement : Project Management Certification.
* Languages : Proficiency in English (B2) and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is desirable.
