Job Description
Role Summary
Responsible for carrying out vehicle dynamics advanced simulation activities to support attributes development programmes.
Responsibilities
- Build chassis and complete vehicle models
- Perform virtual simulations to evaluate suspension kinematics & compliance and complete vehicle handling & ride comfort
- Optimize chassis parameters to meet performance targets
- Prepare and write project reports
- Present project results and support decision making
Project Management & Commercial Actions
- Present project proposals and results to customers
- Manage client communication and reporting
Qualifications
Technical Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in automotive chassis development with a focus on Vehicle Dynamics.
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory and contributions from individual components—hardpoints, steering, springs, bars, dampers, tires, bushings—to suspension K&C; and full‑vehicle performance.
- Basic understanding of the performance development process, from target setting and cascading to validation and sign‑off.
- Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with multi‑body (ADAMS) and/or lookup tables‑based models (VI‑CarRealTime, IPG CarMaker, CarSim, etc.).
- Data post‑processing skills.
- Basic knowledge of programming with Matlab and/or Python.
