The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and supplementary miners' insurance, seeks to strengthen its IT team promptly.
Responsibilities
* Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs
* Prepare, monitor, and execute test procedures for software releases
* Create and maintain system documentation
* Collaborate within work and project groups, including the pension insurance competence center
* Develop database queries using SQL
Qualifications
* Completed technical or university studies in computer science or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience and skills
* Experience with JEE application development (development environment: Eclipse; build tool: Maven; version control: Git; plugins: Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; servers: JBoss, Websphere)
* Knowledge of COBOL, XML/JAXB, or C++ is advantageous
* Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and SQL
* Basic Windows PC skills
* Knowledge of Linux
* Willingness to quickly learn new areas and methods
* Willingness to undergo an extended security check (SÜ2) per Saarland Security Check Act
* Independent, goal-oriented work style
* Problem-solving skills and team collaboration
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* High reliability, resilience, communication, organizational skills, initiative, and sense of responsibility
* Availability for remote maintenance outside regular hours, including weekends if necessary
