Junior Lending Officer (f/m/x) at Deutsche Bank
Position focused on supporting and expanding the lending business in Spain, with the objective of increasing revenues and volumes. The candidate will analyze, structure, execute and manage both existing and new transactions to grow the local loan book and credit revenues from Wealth Management clients.
Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The selected candidate will work closely with Wealth Management Relationship Managers to drive sales of lending products, including Lombard financing, residential and commercial real estate financing, single-stock financing, and other lending solutions relevant to this client segment. The position reports directly to the Head of the Lending Unit.
Key Responsibilities
* Support wealth management relationship managers with regards to sales and growth of lending products.
* Analyze potential transactions, create the most suitable financing structure in relation to risk policies and legal requirements. Present and discuss with the credit risk management committee (and any bank departments involved) the proposed transactions.
* Implement and formalize the approved transactions.
* Manage, monitor, and administer lending transactions during their lifecycle (ensuring compliance, identifying and resolving potential conflicts).
* Support other bank departments and participate in local processes related to Wealth Management lending activity.
Your skills and experiences
* Solid understanding of business and economic principles (degree in Business or Economics), with 1–2 years of experience in a related lending role.
* Good knowledge of overall banking processes, especially financing products as well as contractual matters.
* Ability to understand companies’ balance sheets and P/L.
* Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to identify risks and mitigants throughout the credit process and to work in a team.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
