The OFCI manager's role is key to successful project delivery. The OFCI Manager will be knowledgeable of industry standards around equipment and engineering specifications relating to data centers. The OFCI manager will ensure that the OFCI equipment is delivered on time, to a high standard of quality, and is successfully started up and commissioned in accordance with the required standards.
Reporting To: Project Director and Client OFCI Lead
Purpose: Manage all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) procurement, logistics, and site interfaces
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee OFCI procurement, delivery, and installation
* Manage modular elements if applicable and maximize offsite testing
* Manage ROJ dates and coordinate with GC and vendors
* Ensure inspection, acceptance, and handover are tracked
* The role will involve working closely with the client’s different vendors to ensure on time and delivery and installation of project critical plant and equipment. The typical Equipment involved in data center construction are Generators, MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear. BAS, EPMS, AHUs, UPS)
* Work with project director, project engineer and client to align Vendor Equipment Schedule to overarching project schedule
* Engage with vendors at early stage of equipment manufacturing and align required factory witness tests against milestones
* Work with appointed GC and specialist project subcontractors to ensure correct work methods and installation requirements are adhered to and ensure that appropriate method statements are in place and signed off by the relevant parties in advance of installation Manage all required paperwork and sign offs associated with all vendor equipment installation
* Attend various FWT and FAT and have regular visits to off-site manufacturing plants to ensure quality control measures are implemented and inspect equipment prior to shipping
* Ensure OFCI vendor PO’s are up to date and any extension of Vendors site team schedules are raised to the project director and client a minimum of 1 month prior to any impac
Deliverables: OFCI logs, interface matrices, acceptance, and handover records
Reporting & Communication: Liaise with supply chain, site, and vendor teams, update client tools.
General Requirements:
* Strict adherence to all project procedures and reporting cycles
* 5 years’ experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation and/or commissioning
* A Bachelor’ degree in engineering or a related field is considered beneficial for the role
* Proficiency with a variety of related computer software applications including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word) is required
* Experience and proficiency with online document management applications (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam) is a strong plus
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
