Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sourcing of the portfolio entrusted, being specialist in the markets with a competitive advantage and continuous improvement by minimizing spend.
- Perform global internal and external analysis, generate local opportunity proposals and provide input into general opportunity assessment.
- Define, leads and implement successfully global purchasing strategies and / or action plans by category and execute and / or supervise negotiations with suppliers about price, quality and delivery conditions of materials.
- Mobilizes the business to implement category plans.
- Provide the company with a competitive advantage
- Reports and explains negotiation results and impact within the company.
- Feedstock and market assumptions translated into annual budget and quarterly reforecast of portfolio spend.
- Ensure up-to-date and correct purchasing data and related information in the information systems.
- Build on and develop the supply base to ensure the capacity and flexibility to meet all of the organizationsrequirements.
- Manage suppliers professionally and proactively to ensure a high level of supplier performance.
- Ensures the legal framework and codes and guidelines are applied in tenders, negotiations and contracts.
- Leads resolution of any escalation of issues with supplier.
- Sets key performance indicators.
- Engage and influence stakeholders.
Qualifications
- University degree in business, finance, commercial, economics or engineering
- 5-6 years in FMCG in a Procurement role
- A proven ability to lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, directly linked to COGs and / or overhead budgets and success in getting projects implemented.
- Experience within global, multicultural organizations and proven ability to lead and work effectively with people from different cultures and in various cross functional teams.
- Computer literacy in SAP and Microsoft Office
- High English level (spoken and written)
- Analytical skills
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems
- Ability to work autonomously across a variety of projects and work under pressure.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
- A drive for continuous professional development in self and others
