About the role
Senior Analytics Engineer
We are looking for a senior analytics engineer who will take a leading role in designing and building robust analytical platforms to support data-driven initiatives across the company. You will collaborate closely with Data Analysts / Scientists and Data Engineers to establish strong data foundations and drive best-in-class analytics solutions. You’ll be expected to contribute strategically, mentor others, and bring experience in implementing and scaling modern data workflows. Projects you might lead or shape include:
* Expanding and evolving our dbt data models to accelerate the work of the Analytics Team by creating scalable, well-documented data transformations and core data assets.
* Designing and overseeing a data quality validation framework to ensure reliable insights for business stakeholders.
* Partnering with the Data Engineering team to guide the evolution of our ETL / ELT pipelines and architecture.
A typical day
* Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to identify strategic opportunities for improving our data platform and deliver scalable, reliable data foundations.
* Lead the design and development of efficient core data models that unify key data assets and power self-serve analytics.
* Contribute to the evolution of our modern data stack, evaluating and integrating new tools and frameworks as needed.
* Work cross-functionally with stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to define and document trusted, company-wide data assets.
* Mentor other analytics engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What you need to succeed
* 7+ years of experience in data-focused roles with a proven track record of driving product and operational impact through analytics.
* Strong background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
* Expert-level SQL and strong knowledge of data modeling best practices.
* Extensive experience with dbt in production environments.
* Demonstrated experience applying software engineering principles (modularity, testing, CI / CD) in analytics workflows.
* Experience working in Agile teams with tools such as Jira or Asana.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
* Deep curiosity and knowledge of the modern data stack and industry trends.
* Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
* Proficiency in Python and version control systems like Git.
* Familiarity with Jinja templating and macros.
* Experience with BI tools like Looker or similar.
* Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake.
