We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Tax Specialist to support our US market operations. This key role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of financial processes, particularly in US accounting and tax compliance. You will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office by providing vital support to the accounting department.
What You'll Do
As a core member of our team, you will ensure daily operations run smoothly by supporting the accounting team with accurate and timely completion of tasks, emphasizing:
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Operations: Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, expense reports, and payments.
* Data Entry & Reconciliation: Perform accurate data entry and assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
* Tax Compliance: Support tax documentation preparation and ensure adherence to US tax regulations.
* Reporting: Prepare financial reports and presentations by gathering data and formatting documents.
* Audits & Compliance: Help prepare audit documents and ensure compliance with internal policies.
* Tools: Use tools like Avalara and NetSuite for accounting and tax-related tasks.
Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate closely with the accounting team, reporting directly to the Accounting Director, and work with other departments such as sales and operations to ensure seamless workflows.
Our Ideal Candidate
We seek a dedicated professional with:
* 5+ years of experience in accounting or office support, with specific expertise in US accounting and tax tasks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software.
* Experience with NetSuite and Avalara is a plus.
* Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and within a team.
* High integrity and discretion handling confidential information.
