You will work at the forefront of renewable energies, contributing to grid-forming and grid-following technologies that enable stable, reliable, and sustainable electrical networks with high renewable penetration. /pp This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly technical, international environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing directly to innovative solutions for the energy transition. /p pb How you’ll make an impact /b /p ulli Hybridisation of renewable energy generation sources: sizing, optimisation, and energy balancing of microgrids to meet load requirements, integrating generation and storage elements with high renewable penetration. /lili Study system stability and response to electrical transients, including symmetrical and asymmetrical faults, voltage dips, frequency disturbances, and power oscillation damping (POD). /lili System modelling of renewable generation plants, electrical machines, conventional generators, and related components. /lili Perform grid code compliance analysis for generation facilities and systems. /lili Develop proof-of-concepts and validate functionalities of control systems. /lili Simulate, test, and debug control algorithms for power systems and power converters. /lili Provide technical support to other teams and departments. /lili Prepare clear and structured technical documentation for projects and engineering studies. /lili Perform commissioning tasks for power conversion and control systems interfacing with energy storage systems in the laboratory. /lili Conduct technical analysis of logs, errors, signals, and metrics, generating reusable reports to support engineering, quality assurance, and certification processes. /li /ul pb Your background /b /p ulli BSc or MSc degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field (minimum requirement). /lili Strong knowledge of frequency and voltage regulation control for electrical networks. /lili Proven experience in defining functionalities and implementing closed-loop control systems. /lili Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing control algorithms for power electronics converters and/or electrical machines. /lili Solid understanding of Grid-Following and Grid-Forming control concepts for power applications. /lili Hands-on experience with PSCAD or similar simulation tools; knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSSE is a plus. /lili Background in power conversion applications for energy or industrial markets. /lili Desirable experience in energy design and calculation for photovoltaic plants, including microgrid sizing and energy balancing. /lili Familiarity with electrical system modelling. /lili Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems is a plus. /lili Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages. /lili Experience with grid code compliance is desirable. /lili High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies. /lili Advanced English proficiency is required. /lili Desirable: at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
