Overview
Digital Commerce is a critical growth driver for the International Foods & IB organizations, as Digital is projected to drive ~25% of international Omnichannel retail market F&B $ growth over the next 5 years across PEP anchor markets. For PepsiCo specifically, it is projected that the Global Digital Commerce business (including the US) would reach $13.6 billion USD NR by % of that is attributed to International Digital Commerce.
Following the integration of DTX team into its Strategy & Transformation, Digital Commerce has been solidified as a core pillar in PEP's strategy to unlock additional revenue streams to fuel international growth. As part of that previously named DTX – International team has expended in its remit to holistic transformation of growth enablers for our business: capabilities, processes, organizational design and more. Partnering with the wider S&T Commercial and Consumer and Supply Chain Towers, identifying key points of integration repositioning Digital Commerce not only as a sales channel but a core capability that can accelerate growth of total PepsiCo.
Engineering lead – International Digital Commerce is responsible for building the next generation of global Digital Commerce capabilities across key international markets balancing between the global blueprint and localization needs. This leader oversees a broad range disciplines between data engineering, data science and software engineering to deliver best in class innovative solutions for data products, digital products for Digital Shelf Optimization, marketing automation and predictive next best action creating a closed loop ecosystem driving growth of our Digital Commerce operations.
This role serves as a peer to our US Digital Commerce Engineering leads, as well as Capability Leads across the wider S&T creating capabilities for broader PepsiCo. The Lead is able to find synergies across the entire Pepsico ecosystem and be the voice of Digital Commerce with the Regional and Global technical deployment leads advocating for modern practices required to win in fast speed Digital space.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Define and drive engineering strategy across all products, ensuring balance between global blue print and local needs.
* Partner with Product team, wider DTX Engineering group and S&T Capability Leads to shape long-term technical direction.
* Evaluate and prioritize engineering work balancing innovation, tech debt, scalability and business impact.
* Serve as a senior technical voice in leadership forums and support partner conversations when needed.
Organizational Leadership
* Lead and mentor a high-performing cross-functional engineering team distributed across multiple geographies.
* Build international deployment capability by partnering deeply with regional and local market tech leads.
* Foster a strong, inclusive culture that values collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee operational governance including budgeting, resourcing, talent planning, performance management, and risk/compliance.
* Work closely and be part of the US DTX Engineering Leadership group to share learnings and contribute to total best practices.
Global Capability Development & Delivery
* Oversee planning, execution and delivery of Digital Commerce product portfolio across 4 regions together with the Product leads.
* Ensure technical excellence by guiding architectural decisions, setting technical standards and effectively partnering with peer groups.
* Monitor progress through KPIs and engineering OKRs, and risk assessment; intervene proactively when needed.
* Balance shared platform needs, cross-product technical dependencies, and resource allocations.
* Oversee cross-region technical alignment to avoid fragmentation and ensure reusability of components.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in technology and engineering leadership roles within large, complex organizations.
* Proven ability to manage global, cross-functional teams and deliver impactful solutions.
* Demonstrated success overseeing multiple product lines simultaneously, each with different stakeholders, deadlines and technical tasks.
* Experience driving 0-to-1 development, scaling mature products or both.
* Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, cloud platforms, distributed systems and scalable architecture.
* Deep experience with SDLC, agile methodologies, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and incident response.
* Experience implementing engineering governance and standards across distributed teams.
* Ability to translate business and product strategy into engineering direction.
* Expertise in fostering innovation and building data-driven cultures.
* Exceptional influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven track record of managing high performing technical teams.
