**Your mission**:
**The Technical Engineering Director**
- Reports directly to CTO
- Manages several Project Managers, who leads the team of Engineers to deliver on customer projects on an agreed upon timeline.
- Mentors the junior project managers to communicate the company vision and management best practices.
- Manages talent allocation
- Responsible for curating a team which is able to deliver fast and respond to unplanned situations, In charge of hiring and firing.
- Able to flag blockers and project or team threats early.
- Establishes basic scope control procedures.
- Communicate with other directors to find cross project synergies
**Your profile**:
**Required Qualifications**
- Masters or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or another STEM field
- Minimum 3 years’ industry/corporate experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Project Management for complex projects and or programs
- Proven experience managing managers
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Python Project
- Ability to work with a diverse team of people, both in-person and through online resources
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 5+ years of Industry experience in one of: Machine learning, Quantum computing, Cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, autonomous vehicles or large language models
- Team management and leadership experience
- Must be able to develop and manage project plans and budgets
- Must be able to manage risks and issues in a complex technical environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels in the organisation
- Must be able to research technical problems and recommend approaches to address
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
